OYEA Recipients and Finalists
Outstanding Youth in Education Award
The Outstanding Youth in Education Award (OYEA) recognises and honours the achievements of young educators who have shown admirable passion for teaching, and commitment to inspiring and nurturing their students.
In recognition of their unwavering dedication to teaching, six outstanding educators received the OYEA 2022 at the National Institute of Education (NIE) Teachers’ Investiture Ceremony, held virtually on Tuesday, 12 July 2022, with Minister for Education, Mr Chan Chun Sing as the Guest of Honour. These six young recipients are role models for the fraternity. They have demonstrated a strong belief that education is about developing students holistically. This includes cultivating future-ready students with strong problem-solving skills, nurturing resilient students and critical thinkers who are able to empathise with others, and helping students discover the joy of learning. They have also exemplified the spirit of lifelong learning, while contributing significantly to the growth of their fellow educators.
